What is Dezeen?
Dezeen is the most popular and influential architecture, interiors and design publication in the world. It’s also a melting pot of some of the most dreamy design visuals you’ll find online or in print.
Founded by Marcus Fairs in 2006, Dezeen was created to bring together a carefully curated selection of the best architecture, design and interiors projects and news from around the world.
What are the Dezeen Awards?
Dezeen Awards is a comprehensive annual survey of the best work across the major fields of architecture and design.
Each year Dezeen selects the very best architecture, interiors, design and sustainability projects from around the world. Nominees are separated by category and each category has its own specialist judging panel. Nominees are first long listed, then short lists are announced, before judges finally select a winner of the Dezeen Award for each category.
The Dezeen Awards have become the benchmark for international design excellence and the ultimate accolade for architects and designers everywhere.
Product Design Short List
Bottlecup has been short listed for Product Design. Originally long listed with 14 other projects, including the Polestar 3 by Polestar, Galaxy Z Flip4 by Samsung, O-Boy / Lifeline - a life saving smartwatch - and several e-mobility projects including Yoda Bike (yes, we love the name too!) and Pure Advance Flex.

Responsible Design
The Dezeen Awards seek to carefully consider those projects that are not only beautiful and innovative but also strive to benefit users and the environment.
Dezeen believe that a mark of great design ensures that issues such as social impact and sustainability are at their core. The judging criteria put this as central purpose.
Judges
Dezeen Awards are judged by an international panel comprising 90 leading figures from the architecture and design world, and a special panel of fifteen sustainability experts in their fields.
Judging Criteria
What criteria do the judges look for within each category? There are three pillars:
Beautiful: does the item or project look amazing? Beauty is subjective but the judges use their experienced eye to look for aesthetic rigour, detailing and use of materials.
Innovative: does the project incorporate original thinking or address a problem in a new way? Judges look for evidence of fresh approaches and new ideas.
Beneficial: is it useful and considerate to both people and planet? Each project should show respect and consideration for users and the environment.
